Dino Ballecer / Chief Chess Trainer
Dino Ballecer, aka Coach Dinosaur is a FIDE Master and a Certified FIDE Instructor since 2017 up to present, with a FIDE rating of 2372. He has developed a system of chess coaching and training that has achieved a level of success.
Achievements and Certificates
- 2016 Thomson Cup Blitz Competition: Ballecer secured the gold medal by scoring 7.5 points in nine rounds at the Thomson Community Club Hall in Singapore.
- International Master Titles: He holds two International Master title norms achieved in 2007 and 2008.
Collegiate Achievements
- Champion and named Most Valuable Player of the Year at the 2005 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Chess Championship representing De La Salle – College of St. Benilde.
- Achieved Gold Medal at the 8th Philippine University Games (UNIGAMES)
Presidential Cup and International Recognition
- Earned his 1st International Master Norm Certificate at the 2007 President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Chess Cup and was recognized as the Top Filipino Player
- Secured his 2nd International Master Norm Certificate at the 1st Subic International Chess Open in 2008.

Coaching Success
Led the DSL College of St. Benilde Blazers to victory in the PCAP 1st National Interschool Chess Championship, exhibiting successful coaching strategies and a reminiscent lineup that had previously clinched NCAA Championships in the late 2000s.
